  Recently three friends and I spent a delightful week exploring the upper reaches of both the Wolgan and Capertee Valley's. We had, as a group, been briefly to both these valley's on previous occasions but the desire to revisit the heritage listed wilderness area was overwhelming and a return was planned as soon as practicable.
  While we can get quite engrossed in our wanderings throughout our Australian bush, the need for good meals, a hot shower, an evening drink and a warm bed are the first criteria we feel, must be met prior to any departure of exploration we as a group, may make. On this occasion our accommodation was chosen, mainly because of its location to both the Wolgan and Capertee Valley's. A booking was made for the four of us to reside for one week at the Kandos Motel/Hotel.
  To Julie and Ray Odgers, what can we say about “perfect”. As hosts go, and my friends and I have seen a few in our ramblings over the years, you folks were exceptional. You made us feel welcome, your accommodation was outstanding and the meals were beyond belief.
  To return to your establishment after a day of clambering up mountains, of being wet, of sometimes being cold and certainly well worn out, was almost like coming home. My friends and I would highly recommend to anyone that would be visiting Kandos, Rylstone or anywhere in that wonderful part of Australia, a stay at the Kandos Motel/Hotel is a must.
